germany seems to put more effort into thier enviroment. they also are putting more effort into their climate protection. germany is focusing more on renewable energies and energy efficiency.
i believe that while germany is more focused on the enviroment and energy efficiency the united states still puts some effort into it. although, the united states is more focused on the war in iraq and when the u.s. gets out of the war we'll be able to focus more on other things.
Deutschland ist... nahh, I'm just kidding
Germany has been taking a lot of thought and consideration to this matter, and has created several ''anti-polution'' methods of doing things. They've also increased their concerns in term of renewable energy.
The United States, however, do practice some of the same things, but less constantly, and less eficiently, for from their point of view, focusing on that right now is not the main issue.
That is what I think.
I believe that Germany has less people who think poorly about their environment. In the U.S. many people do not care about anything that goes into the air or water, they assume everything will be filtered and cleaned. Well, they're wrong. Germany on the other hand, seems more clean and neat. Whenever you see pictures of cities, there are usually no garbage on the ground or blowing around. In the U.S., you can almost garantee that there will be trash lying around or toxic gases poured int o the atmosphere.
Germany has many car companies that work on producing less and less exaust from their cars as well as compaines such as Ford, General Motors, Honda, and Toyota, but its not the cars that are producing the most traumatizing affects, its the people, and germany seems to be pulling away from the U.S. in the race towards cleanliness. GO GERMANY!!!
In Germany so many people want to protect our enviroment, the same goes for us in america but i believe they care more. In germany with inner city travel there is hardly any cars and walking & taking the bus are the easiest way to get around. When the do travel outside the cities usually the autobauhn is taking. With few limits to speed gas exauction is very low. This means that Germany has done little to affect the enviroment so they wan't to do more so they won't be affected.
The US on the other hand we are so used to the fact of global warming and polution that it doesnt seen to be affecting anyones way of life. Many still litter, drive non fuel effecent cars, and throw our world today...
it seems that Germany is picking up the mess we've made. Perhaphs it is time for american to become more involved! I thank Germany and hope we can live by their influence!
The way I see it is that Germany is striving to make the environment somewhat more suitable for all. They're successfully making vehicles more gas efficient, cleaning up their cities, and even saving kitties from the tree of Global Warming little by little. America is probably aware of this, but is somewhat apathetic towards the solution. I mean, they would love for the environment to get better, I know I would. Whats skeptical about it is, if they would actually contribute to any of the actual work to reach a solution. Now if they don't hop on the bandwagon soon, then the German hen is going to share all of her baked goods with her chicks before any of the other animals, including the U.S Cock (Rooster) and the French Chicken, get a crumb of her clean, non-toxic deliciousness.
The environmental policies within the United States are, while not completely obscure, less evident than those of Germany. Within our society there are small pushes towards the overall goal of removing the need for nonrenewable fuels. Some of the most obvious are the increase of hybrid and electric cars, and the irk of raised taxes on gasoline. The German view on their environmental policies is to move their renewable energy standards at a much quicker pace, hurriedly attempting to remove itself from any attachments to petrol so as to be unaffected by a future oil crisis.
Taking into consideration the knowledge of a not to distant crisis, I agree with the aims of removing ourselves of our relience with renewable energies, but disagree with the German's means to do so. By moving their country at such a high pace, it is risky because of the dangers this move may have on the people and the society dependant on petrol. Germany may be moving too fast, fossil fuels surround each and every person's life structure. Without being completely positive with the possible consequences of this action, the lives of the people may suffer entirely, and their whole way of life may be thrown into disarray. This is why I must side more towards the American's subtle changes and a slow ascension towards the ultimate goal. These views are evidently opposites sides of a spectrum, which is why I cannot completely agree with every policy the United States creates towards the environment and conversely I cannot disagree cannot disagree with every move the Germans make regarding the environment. Therefore, I stand towards a more gradual process of eliminating dependancy, but with some minute alterations, that I will not expand upon at this point.

Germany is looking more into the future on what is going to happen if they do not start taking the necessary actions now. They are cutting energy levels and setting higher standards for things like electricity, fuels, and heat sectors. This also helps their economy and not only their environment. They are creating more jobs and helping spendings cost decrease for consumers. Also they believe that they need to cut back on oil and be more fuel efficient.
The United States doesn't look very far into the future of whats going to happen. We have only recently started to use hybrid cars. Also gas prices are continuing to rise and that could be solved by being more energy efficient.
My views on this is that we need to be more like Germany and pass more energy saving laws to help with our obsession with gasoline. Also it may help the economy as well as the environment because it can create for jobs and help the United States.

Germany has taken great consideration towards keeping their country healthy. They have programs and rules pertaining to renewable energies, electricity, pollutions, and waste management.
In relation to the US, I believe that Germany shows more concern about caring for its environment. Germany has set standards for producers and distributors to create products that create as little waste as possible. They show more determination in keeping the environment clean than the US. If it were up to me, I feel that the US should take more noticeable action and match Germany's dedication.
The difference on the views of the environment around us in Germany and in the U.S. are very different, mainly because of our "every-day" days. In America, people are probably more worried about the environment, because we are seeing the results of our carelessness all around us, but we Don't do Anything about it. In Germany, it is probably still a concern, but they are less worried, although they do way more to protect it than us.
In Germany, everything is a lot closer, and public transportation is a HUGE way of getting around in the country. In America, everything is a bit further, and god forbid Mr.office doesn't take his Escalade or SUV to work across town everyday. In short, Germans can breath easier about it, and just point their fingers at us, where we are lazy and stir up all this hype about protecting our environment, and do nothing.
When comparing Germanys environment to the United States, Germany is found to take much more care and consideration towards their environment, where as the United States attempts to put effort into the environment, however lacks in doing so as much as Germany does.
One aspect of the environment that Germany focus's on is becoming more energy efficiant. They also take much time and consideration into recyclying. On the contrary, the United States tends to focus on animal habitats and forests aspect of the environment.
All in all, i beleive Germany is contributing a stronger effort into their environment.
Germany is clearly thinking about the good of their country in the near future. They are providing more jobs and also researching on new forms of energy. The main topic though is, Environment protection. Germany has a new plan that will drop the carbon dioxide emissions by 40% by the year 2020. Germany believes that with this decision, they have caused all other nations to take some sort of action on environmental control.
Germany is also showing that the actions they are taking toward environmental protection can be achieved without economic and consumer crisis. Germany's decision to do this a positive to the consumer and the unemployed. The Energy Sources Act and the Renewable Energies Heat Act provides jobs that in employ 235,000 people per year. It is good for the consumer because it saves money for them. so far i agree with the Germany side but we will see what happens in the near future with Americas environment vs. Germany's environment. Till next time. This is Kevin signing off.
With the announcement that Germany will cut emissions by 40% by the year 2020, it is obvious that the environment is much more important to them.
In the United State, we tend to focus more on business and less on the environmental impacts that our actions may have in the future. The Germans, however, understand that long term business will actually benefit from these "green" measure and their economy will be more stable.
Germany definatly has a strong grasp on the environmental issues. The country seems to acknoledge the fact of our limited oil source and effect car emissions have on the environment. However, the United States doesn't seem to care; (The United States Government that is.) I don't thing that the United States has any clue about how harmful the pollution is. I personally believe that we need stricter laws agains dumping, pollution and car emissions. We NEED someone in office to take these instances into account. What was it like 30 years from now the ozone will deteriorate another 10%? (Dont quote me on that). But seriously, pollution control in the United States would GREATLY decrease that deterioration.
Think Green!
hey frau i was just wundering if we had class time to work on this because i have some questions i would like to ask you about the story that have come up....
